Mouthwatering shakes, smoothies
and coolers alongside cappuccino, espresso and great coffees. |
Forty Thirst Street (Gallery
Image), located at the Downtown Disney West Side Complex between
Pleasure Island and West Side Shops is the best place to go for
a really good cappuccino, espresso, fresh fruit juices, and various
mouth watering desserts are served at the counter-service java
joint.
A handful of tables are located inside the small dining area,
where projected images of fruit and stars bounce onto circular
overhead screens and upbeat music plays. Coffee served here is
roasted on the "grounds" in a roaster that sets in the middle
of the dining area. Guests are welcome to observe during roastings
and ask questions -- or purchase the freshly blackened coffee
beans for $10.95 a pound.
Items for sale: cup of coffee ($1.95); mocca latte ($4.50); cheesecakes
and layered cakes ($3.95); big muffins ($2.50); jumbo cookies
and brownies ($1.75); Flyin' Hawaiian smoothie with coconut and
pineapple ($4.75); Mango Tango chiller with mango, pineapple,
papaya and coconut ($4.25).
The headquarters of Forty Thirst Street is located in Tampa and
the chain has 35 stores in the southeast United States. Although
this is a great place to take a break, it's not the kind of place
you sit for hours in a dark corner.
