Journey into Your Imagination

[ Disney Vacation Planner ]

At A Glance Journey into your Imagination attraction has been closed pending a redesign (rumoured to be "Figment's Journey into Imagination" scheduled to re-open summer 2002). The rest of the Imagination pavillion remains open.

The Journey Into Imagination Pavillion sponsored by Kodak, and opened with the opening of the Epcot park on the 1st October 1982. In its original format it featured two attractions, Magic Journeys and Image Works.

Magic Journeys was replaced on 12th September 1986 with Captain EO which in turn closed on 11th July 1994 and was replaced with Honey, I Shrunk the Audience which opened on 21st November 1994.

Image Works closed October 10, 1998.

The Journey Into Imagination Ride opened on March 5, 1983, and closed on October 10, 1998.

The ride featured two main characters, Dreamfinder and Figment, who were on a search for new ideas, collecting them in a kind of space-age vacuum cleaner. Later, when the machine is full, they empty it out and guests end up spending the rest of the ride seeing the ideas that they gathered.
