The Enchanted Tiki Birds

[Disney Vacation Planner]

At A Glance Classic audio animatronic attraction that's definitely best for younger children.
[Iago]

The cute and incredibly 'twee' Enchanted Tiki Birds attraction was the first of the Audio Animatronics attractions built by Disney, and started the development that was to continue with other attractions such as the "Great Moments with Mr Lincoln".

The Tiki Birds show was first introduced to Disneyland in Anaheim during 1963, and shortly afterwards appeared at the New York World's Fair in 1964 - 1965. The show lasts approximately 17 minutes, and features something like 225 Audio Animatronic birds, flowers, and tiki statues, and yet another of those tunes that once heard is impossible to forget.

In its original format at Walt Disney World, the show lasted for 17 minutes. It has now been completely refurbished, and has just reopened, with new tunes, a new look, and a couple of new characters in the form of Zazu from The Lion King and Iago from Aladdin.
