The closure of Mr Toad's Wild Ride was fought by avid fans of Mr J. T. Toad, who regularly staged "Toad In" meetings in The Magic Kingdom to protest against the removal of the attraction. The ride itself followed Mr Toad's reckless journey through the English countryside as in the film The Wind in the Willows. It was a relatively slow ride, with many twisting corners, and blended the style of a ghost train ride, with Harold Lloyd style impending disaster at every corner. There were no ride restrictions as such, and it was probably a ride that could be enjoyed by everyone, although there were some moments that particularly young children may have found momentarily frightening.
