Town Square is at the very start of Main Street USA as you first
enter the park through the Main Street Station, and is an idealised
version of a small American town center from the turn of the century.
There is always something going on here throughout the day, from
bands playing, to Disney characters greeting guests, having their
photographs taken, and handing out autographs, so it can be a
real good place to head for if you desperately want to meet Mickey.
Normally occurring at 5:00PM daily, the Flag Retreat ceremony
involves a color-guard lowering and folding the American Flag,
and then releasing a flock of white homing pigeons. It's also
often possible for veterans to take part in the flag-retreat ceremony
(ask the guest relations staff at City Hall for more information).
