Magic Carpets of Aladdin

[Disney Vacation Planner]

At A Glance Fairground style ride similar to Dumbo or the Astro Orbiters. Guest controls height and pitch of ride vehicle. Ride purchased from Zamperla.

New to the Adventureland area in The Magic Kingdom, and located close to the new Agrabah Bazaar, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is in most respects a similar ride to Dumbo, featuring 16 ride vehicles themed to resemble magic carpets, revolving around a vertical central hub, resembling a giant and animated Genie's Lamp.

Like Dumbo, guests riding Aladdin can control the ride height of the ride vehicle using a lever, but unlike Dumbo they can also pitch the ride vehicle forward or backward. Water-spewing camels around the ride occasionally "spit" water at the riders. As expected, music from the film Aladdin (Disney 1992) plays throughout the ride.

Each of the ride vehicles can seat a total of four guests at a time.

This is the first permanent attraction with an Aladdin theme to be built at The Magic Kingdom in Florida.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is located in Adventureland, across from Swiss Family Treehouse and beside "The Enchanted Tiki Room - Under New Management"
