Overview
The Dolphin is owned and operated by Sheraton, and
compliments it's neighbour the Swan. The exterior of the
hotel is decorated in a giant mural of banana leaves, and it is
topped by two 56-foot tall dolphin statues. The main building
is a 27 story turquoise triangular tower, which is flanked by
four coral coloured guestroom wings, each nine storys high, that
stretch out towards the shores of Crescent lake.
The hotel also features a large convention center,
and has an Exxon Gas (Petrol) station located near the main entrance
to the resort, so is a very convenient hotel if you've got a hire
car.
Rooms
There are a total of 1,509 rooms at the Dolphin,
including 136 suites. Each room is decorated with lamps
the shape of palm trees, and coluorful curtains and bed linen.
Each room features either two double beds, or one King
sized bed, a mini-bar, coffee-maker, iron and ironing board, and
vanity / dressing areas.
Located within the main triangular building are
a number of concierge rooms which are well equipped to accommodate
disabled guests. 24h room service is availble to all rooms
within the resort.
Food and Drink
The Cabana Bar and Grill is a full service restaurant
located right by the main pool, serving mainly fast food including
burgers, sandwiches, yoghurt and fruit. The full bar serves
a variety of speciality drinks. The Coral Cafe provides
some very attractive looking (and mouth watering) buffets as well
as an a la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Dolphin Fountain provides a speciality home-made
iced cream and huge sundaes, though burgers, shakes and malts
are also offered. Harry's Safari Bar and Grill serves grilled
beef, poultry, and seafood. Additionally a character brunch
takes place on Sundays.
Juan and Only's provides authentic Mexican food
in an authentic Mexican setting, whilst Sum Chows provides for
those guests with a preference for authentic Asian meals. (Sum
Chows is usually closed Tuesday and Wednesday). Finally
Tubbi's is a cafeteria with a distinctive chequerboard design
ideal for a quick meal. A 24h convenience store located
within Tubbi's sells small snacks and sundries.
Copa Banana, with it's table tops shaped like slices
of tropical fruit, makes a lively drinking establishment.
Entertainment is projided by a live DJ, dance floor, karaoke,
and eight large screen TVs. Harry's Safari Bar, provides
a jungle atmosphere and excellent cool drinks, while guests of
Only's Bar and Jail can enjoy a warm atmosphere while partaking
of Margharitas, Sangria, Tequilas and beers from various regions
of Mexico.
Activities
There's allways plenty to keep guests occupied at
the Dolphin, with two Volleyball nets and several hammocks located
on the beach area. The Fantasia Mini-Golf course of very
close nearby, as is the Boardwalk resort and entertainment complex.
Pedal boats, Hydro bikes, and CraigCats (motorized
lounge chairs) are all available for rent from the beach area,
whilst the childrens Camp Dolphin programme provides a dinner
club for kids from 18:00 PM until 23:00 PM at a cost of $40 for
the first child, $30 for the second child, and $20 for each additional
child.Councellors provide themed evenings filled with arts, crafts
and dinner activities, along with a movie.
Recreation
The Dolphin's health club (Body by Jake) run by
fitness guru Jake Steinfield is located near the pool area, and
is home to a range of state of the area fitness equipment, along
with personal trainers. Aerobic classes, including water
aerobics, a sauna a steam room, a large whirlpool, and massages
are amont the other facilities offered by the health club.
Shopping
A large selection of Cartier and other branded jewellery
is available from Brittany Jewels, whilst Choccoholics are given
a treat at Indulgences. Statements of Fashion sells a range
of resort-wear for both men and women, whilst Daisy's Garden sells
variou items of character merchandise.

Disney Transportation
Guests statying at the Dolphin are close enough
to EPCOT's entrance near the French Pavillion to make it a pleasurable
walk, alternatively the boat service may be used to access Epcot
or the Disney MGM Studios.
The remaining parks, including The Magic Kingdom,
Pleasure Island, Downtown Disney, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard
Beach are all reached through the use of the excellent Disney
Bus service.
